Facility Photographs and Information

The Gay Conch Republic Corporation and Blue Planet Offices, Inc. are located in Key West, FL. In the near future we will be moving into our own building that will provide space for offices, a production area, an audio/video studio as well as an internet cafe.

Blue Planet Offices also produces the Key West Family Coupon book with this and additional equipment twice a year. The KWFC book is the only advertising media aimed at local residents distributed door to door. Our holiday edition is now open for booking.

Blue Planet will also be offering print finishing, bindery, mailing and packaging services at its upcoming location. We intend to shortly add a high speed digital printing system that will print with color ink at the price of photocopies. Most of the services offered by Blue Planet are not currently available in Key West or the Florida Keys.

Currently we are a home based business. The photographs show some of the equipment used for passport production. All production is done in-house. These photos are on various pages on the site.

Dan, Gay Conch Republic Director General, sets up a hot foil stamping machine to emboss the red diplomatic passport with gold foil.

Shown above left is a HP 4600 color laser printer. This workgroup printer is rated at 85,000 pages a month and prints both sides of the paper. It is used for printing passport pages and "visa" stamps. To the right top is an HP DL580 Enterprise Server which has 4 Dual Core Xeon 2.5 gig processors, 24 gigs of memory and a 4 drive SCSI raid array. Below is an HP 1120c ink jet printer that prints 11x17 and 12x18 inch sheets of paper.

	Dan, Gay Conch Republic Director General, is shown shrink wrapping the CD-FORM version of the retail package. The passport is well protected in the plastic CD case and shrink wrapping but is fully visible. Graphics and text on the reverse explain and promote the contents. Promotional material is also printed around the passport inside the case (not shown). The cases do not contain CD trays.
This is one of our computer work areas. This area is used in part for video and audio production and editing. To the left (not shown) are 3 tower systems including a dual cpu dual core Xeon 3.06 gig system. Under the table is a 4 CPU, Dual Core Xeon enterprise server. Shown above, left to right, is a HP LaserJet 4 Plus, a shipping label printer and a HP PSC 1510 All-In-One color inkjet printer. This is primarily used for printing and scanning photographs. These are used in production, shipping and general operations.
Left to right is a corner cutter, a cutting board and Exacto knife with ruler, a standard desktop paper cutter and a commercial grade paper cutter with clamp.	Four staplers are shown: a standard desk stapler, a manual saddle stapler, a commercial grade Staplex electric stapler and a Swingline electric saddle stapler.
The laminator is used for plastic laminating certificates and other Gay Conch Republic materials.	Shown is our HP Photosmart A826 photo printer. This printer has a large screen that can be used as a photo frame. It also is touch sensitive and can edit pictures. It is used for printing passport photos and promotional purposes at events where Gay Conch Republic has a booth. Also shown is our Murata F-50 fax machine. Although a standalone machine, it also interfaces to personal computers.
Shown is a Faber Castell FC-101 saddle stapler. This is a commercial grade stapler. We also have a Faber Castell flat stapler arriving soon.	Shown is a Techko LF283B paper folding machine. This machine folds 8.5x11 and 8.5x14 inch paper in 4 popular folds. A larger paper folder is on order but this handles most of the folding we need to do.
Shown is a Pitney Bowes postage meter with scale which allows us to handle mailings with a postage imprint and the exact amount. We also have a larger digital scale (not shown).
