FAQ 3

Gay Conch Republic illustration Can I use the Gay Conch Republic Passport to travel?

A

Short answer: No!

The Conch Republic Passport, prior to 9/11/2001, had been used as an actual passport. It is even possible someone might get by with it in some small country, but you could never use it to get back into the United States.

The Gay Conch Republic passport is much more a souvenir than the Conch Republic passport and this is by design, and also required under the terms of our licensing agreement with the Hon. Sir Peter Anderson and Conch Republic Passport Control, Inc.

To help eliminate any confusion, our book cover states "Passport to Fun" though "to Fun" is in small type. Our contract allows us to put that part in any size or style of type we like.

Thanks for asking.
