Gay Friendly Business Information

This signup page is for businesses that are gay/lesbian friendly and market to the gay community, but do not serve the gay community exclusively and/or are not gay owned. These businesses are classified as Vice Consulates.

Travel related businesses exclusively serving the GLBT community are invited to sign up on the Travel Signup Page. Travel related businesses typically conduct travel events and regular activities.

If you are a travel destination such as a resort, hotel, campground, nightclub or other facility that does NOT serve the GLBT community exclusively, this is the correct signup page.

Destinations such as resorts and hotels that signup are provided with a rubber stamp with their logo and generally do not issue printed "visa" stamps, although they can do so if they desire. They can also issue a stamp to each customer rather than or in addition to using the rubber stamp. For instance, a nightclub would probably find it more convenient to issue printed stamps, especially if the club has more than one bar.

If a hotel has many locations, then they can receive a license to issue a stamp for each location.

If a hotel or other destination has a number of actual events for which they want to issue stamps, they may do so, although all event "visa" stamps as opposed to destination stamps must be produced by the Gay Conch Republic. Destination stamps have numbers to identify the location but do not have serial numbers as do event stamps.

Stamps can be issued in two different sizes 1.5 x1.5 inches or 1.5 x 3.0 inches. All stamps can be validated and searched online. (Names or other information on individuals the stamps are issued to is not reported to us and is not available.)

All event stamps are printed by the Gay Conch Republic at attractive rates so that we can print the serial numbers (which requires special software) and control the quality. Stamps are printed in full color on a HP LaserJet 4600 in 600x600 dpi resolution, or for large quantities on a color Risograph digital ink printing system. All stamp printing and passport production is done in-house at our facility in Key West, FL.

Vice Consulates receive a color Vice Consulate Certificate for display, a rubber stamp of thier logo and a stamp pad, in a color of their choice. The consulate can stamp passports with colored ink if they choose and/or issue a printed stamp.

Gay Friendly Destination/Vice Consulate signup is only $99.95 per year. The consulate receives a new Vice Consulate Certificate each year and a new logo stamp. The certificate and logo stamp both contains the year of issuance.

If your hotel or other gay friendly destination has multiple locations that want to participate in this program, discount rates are available. Two to five locations are an additional $35 each. Six to 20 locations are $25 each. 21 or more locations are $20 each. More than 50 locations are $10 each. If your hotel has more than 100 locations, please contact our office for detailed rates and information. You may send a check to Blue Planet rather than using the PayPal signup.

Vice Consulates can also sell the retail package of the Gay Conch Republic Passport. All retail sales require a separate signup as a retail outlet which includes an Associate Trade Mission Certificate and a minimal order of passport packages.
