Master Distributor License Signup

Each foreign county is considered a Master Distributorship and has the rank of National Trade Mission. Master Distributors in a foreign nation can signup additional distributors for specific and limited areas of thier choosing. Master Distributors can set their own terms, conditions and pricing for distributors within their country. Master Distributors are also National Trade Missions identified by the country. Master Distributors are permitted to sell passports and do travel, destination and retail signups on-line, provided that the site is only in their own national language(s). Master Distributors or National Trade Missions are expected to actively market passports and business signups within their country by in-person sales, mail, telephone calls, print ads, handouts and other acceptable means. National Trade Missions keep all the income from business signups within their country, all income from passport sales and all income from retail package sales (less the low wholesale cost of the passport itself).

A National Trade Mission is your business and you keep virtually all the income. Master Distributors/National Trade Missions MUST have a physical location open to the public. A retail shop location is preferred, but an office is acceptable.

Master Distributors will produce the stamps issued by gay travel and related businesses within their country under license of the Gay Conch Republic and will charge a reasonable fee for them. A color laser printer is required to produce the stamps.

No distributor can manufacture passports. Only the Gay Conch Republic will produce the actual passport. National Trade Missions will however print the purchaser's information and complete final assembly of the passport. Master Distributors will print the purchaser's inside passport information, seal and bind, trim and corner cut the passport and ship it to the customer. Specific manufacturing capacity is required although the cost should not exceed one thousand dollars and all such equipment and materials can be purchased locally.

Master Distributorships are based upon the population of the country. The license fee is $50 U.S. per one million of population. If you are in a very small country or an island for instance with less than one million population, the license fee is still $50. That is the minimum amount. There are additional costs for materials and equipment. You should consider that initial product and materials purchasing costs will be about one-half the license fee.

For example, if you wanted a Master Distributorship for England with a population of 60 million the licensing fee is $3,000. Certainly, this is a significant amount of money, but frankly, it is nothing compared to the profits you can earn. By signing up your own distributors, retailers and business partners, you keep all the money and they will do most of the work for you. Also, compare it to any franchise opportunity and you will immediately see what a deal it is. Finally, we do not want to signup a Master Distributor that does not have the commitment and resources to properly market our products.

The license fee is payable yearly, although it drops to $40 per million population in subsequent years.

If you want to sign up as the Master Distributor for a country with a very large population but minimal gay activity at this time, such as China, India or the Russian Commonwealth, the license fee can be negotiated, but will be in excess of $1,000. We do not want a distributor who does not have the financial resources and commitment to serve the market as it develops.

Passports are shipped to you unassembled. Inside pages are printed and folded into signatures. They are printed except for the purchaser's personal information. When you sell a passport you will print this information onto a preprinted form (on self-stick paper) that you attach inside the passport cover. You should use a good quality inkjet printer. The page is then covered with a sheet of self-stick plastic. You will need a heavy duty paper cutter, corner cutter and saddle stitcher to complete the assembly. (Detailed information provided after signup.) You will also need the necessary materials and equipment to ship the finished product within your country.

You are also able to purchase assembled passports for use in retail packaging.

Master Distributors can set the prices for their distributors and retailers. Master Distributors are able to purchase unassembled passports for $4.00 to $8.00 each depending upon quantity. The minimum initial quantity is 50 units.

Master Distributors will also produce the Certificates that are issued to their travel, destination and retail licensees and are responsible for the production of the rubber stamps and other necessary items. We can supply these items but producing them locally saves shipping costs and will be more cost effective.

Sell the Conch Republic Passport to every retail store, nightclub, community center, hotel and travel business in your country. You can also sign up gay friendly businesses as Affiliated Trade Missions and Vice Consulates. You can directly signup all gay travel related businesses in your country and receive all the income for each signup and renewal, less cost of materials supplied by the Gay Conch Republic. You can set your own signup fees within your country based on local market conditions, but ALL the income from those fees is yours to keep.

You are also responsible for producing the retail passport packages. The passports themselves for retail packages are produced ONLY by the Gay Conch Republic. and will only be printed in English. However, the display cards and packaging materials need to be translated into your language and printed. An insert card will be printed that translates the contents of the passport into your country's language. The retail packages will be assembled by you and distributed to retailers by you. You should have approximately $1,000 available for the necessary materials and printing cost. If you decide to produce the retail packages in the CD package format (see retail page) you will also need to have a shrink wrap machine. You can however produce the retail package in the 6x9 full view window envelope form only and you will not need a shrink wrap machine.

The owner of a National Trade Mission is expected to purchase a Gay Conch Republic Diplomatic Passport within thirty days of the license signup and is required for license issuance. It will identify you as the Director of your National Trade Mission and is your official identification. National Distributors and National Trade Missions are not authorized to sell Diplomatic passports. These can ONLY be obtained from the Gay Conch Republic directly. You can refer individuals to us and recommend them and receive a commission on each diplomatic passport issued.

To sign up and claim a National Trade Mission you need ONLY pay the licensing fee at this time. Fees are based upon the last census of your country at $50 U.S. per each one million of population or fraction thereof. In the shopping cart, each $50 is considered a unit and you can pick the combination necessary to pay the licensing fee.

If you do not want to pay the entire licensing fee using PayPal, you can reserve your distributorship by signing up and paying a 10 percent deposit using PayPal. The balance can then be paid by check, wire transfer or by another means.
