National Event Retailer Signup

Retailers are authorized to sell the passports in their immediate retail area at pride celebrations and other community events when they are otherwise at those events selling their product lines.
If you are a business that travels to pride and other community events selling products on a regional or national basis, you need to sign up as a National Event Retailer. There are limited slots available for these National Event Retail distributorships which are different from local/county distributorships. A National Event Retailer is an Affiliated Trade Mission.
There is a total of only 3 slots available for National Event Retailers within the U.S. and one for Canada. This number is based on achieving a balance where we have enough national retailers to cover events, but not so many that there is undue competition. Even if you or another firm has a national license, it is unlikely that every licensee will make it to every gay pride event in the country, for example, as there is alot of them and many overlaps on dates. There are also likely to be many smaller events in your immediate market area that are not large enough to attract other national retailers.
If all the National Retailers and the licensed Regional Retailers all show up at a big event like New York, LA, or Chicago Pride, there is certainly enough of a market and audience to go around.
There will be a total of 4 slots for Regional Retailers, but ONLY one Regional Retailer will be permitted in each region.
See REGIONAL MAP for details. A National Retailer is authorized to license individual regions as well to prevent them from being licensed to another firm. Regional license area limitations will be enforced.
Sub-Regions are also available for license. One one license will be granted within each sub-region. A Regional Retailer may also license the sub-regions within the region to prevent them from being licensed to another firm.
In foreign countries, National Event and other retailers are licensed by the holder of the Master Distributor License for that country.
This does not include retailers that are strictly regional or specialized. For example, if you are a primarily a retailer for the gay leather community and you travel only to leather events such as IML and MAL, you will not be counted in the six slots. You will be required to be a licensed National Event Retailer (Special Trade Mission) if you travel outside of your retail market to events for sales purposes. A specialized or regional retailer (Regional Trade Mission) license is less money than a National Event Retail license.
There is only one slot for a Specialized National Retailer in the Leather Specialization. This license permits sales on a national basis but only at Leather Events such as IML, MAL, leather club events, fetish events, and similar.
There is one slot available in the Lesbian Specialization. This license permits you to sell at Lesbian ONLY events and not at general events such as Pride Festivals. If you want us to consider licensing other specializations, please contact us. If you are interested in a Specialized Regional License, please contact our office.
Non-profit organizations are eligible for these licenses as are businesses.
There is one additional benefit to being a National, Regional or Sub-Regional Retailer. If the event you will be selling at is not a partner of the Gay Conch Republic and is not issuing a "visa" stamp for the event. all National and Regional Retailers may issue their own stamp for the event which they can sell separately and/or give away with a Passport purchase.
If someone already has a passport, you can sell them a stamp. $5 is the maximum amount although we suggest less. If the event is issuing stamps they will give them away free with admission, so there is no point in selling another stamp and in that case you are not typically authorized to do so. There may be rare instances where a Retailer is authorized to issue an event stamp and the event signs up at the last minute and issues a free stamp with admission. The Retailer in that case is still authorized to sell or give away their stamps.
As with all event stamps, they must be manufactured by the Gay Conch Republic. No other retailer can issue stamps for events unless there will be no National, Regional, or Sub-Regional Retailer selling at that event. Sub-Regional Retailers may distribute stamps if no Regional or National Retailer will be at the event.
Although one firm can hold both retail and distributor licenses, a Distributor license alone does NOT permit the issuance of stamps nor the sale of passports to individuals or other end users. Distributors signup and sell to retailers and signup travel, destination and other partners. They can not market to end users.
"Visa" stamps are produced in sheets. Very large orders will be produced in rolls. Sheet stamps can be delivered in full sheets, cut into individual stamps, or packaged in a small zip-lock clear plastic bag 4"H x 3"W inside dimensions (with a hole for hanging on hooks) which allows a price tag to be attached should you intend to sell the stamps. You can also print your own sales/promotional literature to place inside the plastic bag. Gay Conch Republic offers wire and cardboard display racks for both types of packaging. Cardboard displays are designed for counter-top use. Wire display racks can be used on a counter-top, mounted on slantwall, pegboard or another wire rack. Racks and displays can be ordered separately after your initial signup in our wholesale section. Display racks start at about $9.00 each.
The minimum purchase to obtain a wholesale price is a quantity of 3. Orders with the shopping cart are in multiples of 3. After signup you may order product in any quantity and have a selection of payment methods in our secure wholesale section.
Retail Wholesale Pricing: 3 units $20.00 each, 6 units $19.50 each, 9 units $19.00 each, 12 units $18.00 each, 15 units $17.50 each, 18 units $17.00, 21 $16.50, 24 units $16.00 each, 27 $15.50 each, and more than 30 units $15.00 each. Shipping is included in the price. If you are located in Florida, please provide a copy of your state resale certificate.
Please use the shopping cart to pay the license fee and order at least 3 units. These will be shipped together with your Associate Trade Mission Certificate and additional materials. Posters and other promotional items will be shipped to you in the near future. You have a choice of the 6x9 full view envelope and/or the CD-Form retail packaging. You can take part of your order in one and part in the other. Thank you.
All license fees are extremely reasonable. If you looked at it as a franchise, it is the most economical franchise there is. (Legally distributorships are not franchise opportunities.)
