Travel Related Business Information and Signup

Travel related businesses exclusively serving the GLBT community are invited to signup now and should signup on this page. Travel related businesses typically conduct travel events, and regular activities.

The Gay Conch Republic Passport is the ultimate gay souvenir for your customers to keep track of their travels and adventures. It is a constant reminder of the fun they had and a convenient way to help them tell friends and others about their experiences, potentially sending you new customers and creating favorable word of mouth advertising.

Because it is proof that they actually took the trip or participated in the particular adventure, it provides credibility. I am certain that the travelers in our community would like to have something to show for all the money they spent other than just another t-shirt. Passport holders can also upload pictures from their trips and adventures to our site and these will be keyed to your information. This will be another great way to advertise what you do and attract interested new customers.

Your business is identified by a code on each stamp, and when this code is entered into our searchable databases, full information on your business is presented and this is all keyed to photographs that passport holders have uploaded. You could never get this great of a marketing tool for only $39.95 per year anywhere else, much less one aimed directly at the audience you want to reach. We are confident that this amount is a fraction of what you earn from just one customer and that it will pay for itself many times over.

Shown above left is a HP 4600 color laser printer. This workgroup printer is rated at 85,000 pages a month and prints both sides of the paper. It is used for printing passport pages and "visa" stamps. To the right top is an HP DL580 Enterprise Server which has 4 Dual Core Xeon 2.5 gig processors, 24 gigs of memory and a 4 drive SCSI raid array. Below is an HP 1120c ink jet printer that prints 11x17 and 12x18 inch sheets of paper.

It is a fantastic marketing tool and needs your support. There is nothing like this and we are confident it will be widely accepted. When our passport holder asks you for the "visa" stamp for their expensive trip or adventure, what are you going to say?

You can also issue "visa" stamps for travel and events you have already conducted. Give them away free or sell them for a small amount. In either case, it provides you a great reason to get back in touch with previous customers to tell them about your upcoming trips and adventures. If you are a travel destination such as a resort, hotel, nightclub or other facility serving the GLBT community, you should visit the Destinations Signup Page. If your resort, hotel, guesthouse, campground or other destination is your primary business and you have regular activities and you would like to issue "visa" stamps, you should still signup on that page. If you are a nightclub or similar destination, you should also signup on the Resort/Destinations page.

If you do not serve the gay community exclusively and/or are not gay owned, but you are gay friendly, you may sign up as a Vice Consulate. Please visit the Vice Consulate/Gay Friendly Business Signup Page.

Travel businesses within the community are considered consulates. Each consulate is encouraged to issue a "visa" stamp for each event or trip they conduct. Organizations that conduct regular events, from fundraising events to circuit parties can also sign up as consulates and issue stamps for their events. The consulate can design the stamp or the Gay Conch Republic can design it for you for a modest fee.

"Visa" Stamps can be issued in two different sizes 1.5 x1.5 inches or 1.5 x 3.0 inches. Stamps contain the name and date of the event, the issuing consulate's name plus an unique serial number that identifies the insurer, the event, date and a serial number. All stamps can be validated and searched online. (Names or other information on individuals the stamps are issued to is not reported to us and is not available.)

All stamps are printed by the Gay Conch Republic at attractive rates so that we can print the serial numbers (which requires special software) and control the quality. Stamps are printed in full color on a HP LaserJet 4600 in 600x600 dpi resolution, or for large quantities on a color Risograph digital ink printing system. All stamp printing and passport production is done in-house at our facility in Key West, FL.

Consulates receive a color Consulate Certificate for display, a rubber stamp of thier logo and two stamp pads, one in a color of their choice and one with ultraviolet ink. The consulate is encouraged to validate the printed stamps by stamping their logo onto it with ultraviolet ink. The consulate can also stamp passports with colored ink if they choose.

The stamps can be issued for events that have already taken place. This gives the travel business a great opportunity to get in touch with previous customers and renew their relationship. The stamps can be provided free or sold for a small amount, up to $5.00. This is a great promotional tool.

Travel business/consulate signup is only $39.95 per year. The consulate receives a new Consulate Certificate each year and a new logo stamp. The certificate and logo stamp both contains the year of issuance. A consulate can issue any number of stamps per year that they want.

Consulates can also sell the retail package of the Gay Conch Republic Passport. All retail sales require a separate signup as a retail outlet which includes a certificate and a minimal order of passport packages. Please visit the Retail Signup page for more information.

If your business is located outside of the United States, you can sign up on this page. However, please be aware that we have Master Distributorships available at this time. You are invited to consider becoming our master distributor in your country.

After your signup you will be able to order additional materials, a walnut plaque and other items to enhance your participation in the Gay Conch Republic. In the near future you will also be listed in a searchable directory of travel partners with links to your web site and other benefits.
